Technical data (Reefer Container according to the ISO series 1CC)

The containers are suitable for the transportation and storage of cooled and frozen goods transported by rail, shipping and road traffic. The materials used are suitable for the surrounding temperatures between -40°C to +66°C.

Container frame:

The container frame is a welded construction made of bevelled or hot-rolled profiles.
The material used for the bevelled profiles is Corten A steel.

  • 2 end frames consisting of corner coulombs and cross beams
  • 2 upper longitudinal supports
  • 2 lower longitudinal supports
  • 16 cross beams IPE 80 according to DIN 1025, hot-rolled in the ST52-3 quality according to DIN 17100
  • every 2nd reinforcement under the lower flange of the end frames, next to the corner fittings
  • every 4th upper and lower corner fitting made of weld able cast steel GS CK 25

    Base plate:

The base plate is a prefabricated sandwich element with the following assembly from the outside to the inside:

  • 0.8mm belt galvanised sheet steel, stuck together and jointed
  • approx. 94mm PUR foam, density 70 kg/m³
  • 40mm Aluminium grating base, sealed by welding, Aluminium line pressed profile in the AlMgSiO quality, SF25

    Sidewalls:

The base wall is a prefabricated sandwich element with the following assembly from the outside to the inside:

  • 1.5mm beaded sheet steel, Corten A quality
  • approx. 93 mm PUR foam, density 60 kg/m³
  • 0.7mm sheet steel, quality 1.4301 (Nirosta)

    Roof:

The roof is a prefabricated sandwich element with the following assembly from the outside to the inside:

  • 1.5mm beaded sheet steel, Corten A quality
  • approx. 93 mm PUR foam, density 60 kg/m³
  • 0.7mm sheet steel, quality 1.4301 (Nirosta)

The roof is sealed by welding with the container frame.
The roof plate is protected against damage through Twist locks in the upper corner fittings through reinforcement plates.

    Rear door:

The container receives a double wing rear door. The opening angle is approx. 270°.
They can be fastened to the sidewalls when open.
Every door wing is a prefabricated sandwich element with the following assembly from the outside to the inside:

  • Door handles in the welding construction made of light steel profile and outer sheet steel
  • 1.5mm beaded sheet steel, Corten A quality
  • approx. 98 mm PUR foam, density 50 kg/m³
  • 0.7mm inner sheet steel, a quality of 1.4301 (Nirosta) with 8mm high air pressed guiding beads

All doorframe profiles arranged between the door structure and the inner sheet steel are Aluminium and PVC profiles
for the retaining of the inner sheet steel and the door seal.
The Aluminium profiles are line pressed on the AlMgSiO quality, 5 Fs 2 and are connected with the doorframe over shear riveting.
The door seals are clipped into the doorframe profile.
The outer sealing frame is formed as a hollow profile and the inner sealing frame is a double-lipped seal.

The doors are equipped with following fitting parts:

  • every wing door has 4 hinges with maintenance free plastic bushings and hinge bolts made of stainless steel
  • every door wing has 2 locking sills of the fabrication "Powerbrace" Model D.L.-C.S.
  • all fitting parts are galvanised
  • Fasting of the fitting parts are carried out using stainless steel screws

    Insulation:

A 2 component PUR foam system is used fort he insulation.
This is 50% CFC reduced and contains an anti flame protection medium.
The PUR foam possesses a heat conductance factor of 0.020 ? 0.022 W/m²K measured in a surrounding temperature of 10°C.
The number of closed foam cells averages a minimum of 90%.

    Residue foaming:

The transfer between the prefabricated sandwich elements are panelled with 1mm sheet steel with the quality 1.4301 (Nirosta) or Aluminium and PVC profiles.
All grooves are sealed using a permanent elastic sealing medium.
The remaining hollow chambers are foamed in using the PUR foam.

    Paint coating and lettering:

All steel surfaces have been sand blasted and receive following paint coating:

  • Priming 50 mv 2 component zinc phosphate primer
  • Ceiling paint coating 50 mv 2 component epoxy resin surface paint work, colour RAL 9010 (pure white)

    Equipment:

  • The front frame of the container has to be prepared with M14 threaded drill holes for the installation of a cooling / heating apparatus.

The front corner coulombs have to be fitted with the necessary fastening points for the installation of a clip-on generator set.
